A Woman Gone Mad by @KimberSDawn

Forget everything you know about fairytales. There comes a point in a woman's life when she realizes not everyone gets a happy ending.

And no one knows this better than Lillian Shaw.

The safety of a small southern upbringing and a happy normal family couldn't keep life from chipping away at her.

And nothing leaves its mark like the bite of a broken heart.

Blow after blow, Lillian tries to stay optimistic, but when faced with a choice that could destroy her future, she gives in to the temptation.

When your first true love comes crashing into your happily ever after, you're supposed to walk away. Not fall back in love.

But saying no to Leo was something Lillian could never do...

Once lines are crossed is there any going back?

Or is the risk that Lillian Shaw takes going to leave her broken again...

And this time be enough to make her A Woman Gone Mad?

***Warning: This is not a shy and tender fairytale love story. It's a raw, tragic, and gritty story inspired by true events. This book is not for the faint of heart, it contains graphic language, sex, violence, and drug use. MATURE Audiences Only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

Whoa!!!! Now, whoa. Kimber Dawn you have not just made your mark in the book world in your first book but you have made a statement. A Women Gone Mad is not your every day book but unfortunately a lot of peoples every day life. Its real to the core, rips open your heart and leaves it soaked in tears from chapter to chapter. From the prologue you realize A Women Gone Mad is one of those books you need to read slowly, really grasp each sentence to decipher what is going on with Lilly.
Lilly is my childhood friend, my school mate, my moms best friend daughter and in some forms myself. She's a woman who was raised you a middle class atmosphere where you must be home before the street lights come on and you will get grounded for a unsatisfactory on your conduct report. In life you are thrown a lot of trials, though mine are different from Lilly or even Kimber its something each person can relate to. The inner strength that gets torn each new heart break in Lillys world reminds me of the choices we each make when given that split in the yellow brick road.
Kimber was able to get into a dark mindset few can express in words, she gives you a women gone mad and theres nothing you can do but pray Lilly finds the glue to start putting her life together before its to late.
I LOVED this book, so outside my realm of happy romance book this brought me to a real place and showed me the strength i myself have. Leo, boy Leo i can only hope for a man like you.
As you read A Women Gone Mad i hope you have a box of tissues read and aren't afraid of some fcuks here and there, its not for the tender heart but for the strong hearted

I give A Woman Gone Mad by Kimber Dawn

What the hell is up y'all?! I'm Kimber, and I really freaking hope y'all enjoy AWGM! If you get a chance, throw me a review up on my FB page, www.facebook.com/AWGMbyKimberDawn or Goodreads if you loved it! I am a whore for reviews.
Ahh... let's see, what can I tell you about my self... Well, first of all I'm a straight up whore for many, many things. I'm a wine whore, some would say I'm a functional alcoholic, and I'm totally cool with that title. Now the day my cheese completely falls off my cracker and I lose the functional in that title, well yeah never mind. Even then I'll deny that shit. I'm a whore for Victoria's Secret, no seriously, like my VS Angel's Credit Card stays maxed out, hey, they got cool shit. I have a whole lot of hats, meaning I can be called a billion different things, daughter, wife, mother, labor unit nurse, I sell pussy on the side *coughs* that would be persian kittens, thank you you dirty minded scoundrel, I'm also compulsive blackjack addict, book blogger, book pimp, book whore, Jack Daniels is my favorite boyfriend and my biggest dream, the day I'll acknowledge that I've succeeded in life and can a die a happy woman is the day I get to go two stark naked hour round sexual bouts with Jason Statham. *Sighs* I started writing poems and short stories very early in my life, you know for the Michael's and Leo's and Nick's in my life. I've been a book hoarder since I was eleven years old, but then a couple years ago something wonderful happened! The 50 shades of Grey craze brought to life my inner smut whore where I commenced to read anything and everything smut affiliated. When reading wasn't enough any anymore and I noticed that so many of the authors of my favorite books weren't getting the exposure their work deserved I turned it into a mission, starting my own blog, buying their books and reading them one by one, I then wrote my reviews for my blog and didn't hold back in writing them. I've never done a single thing in my life half way, I always go all in. After the success of my Blog, and the insistence of one of my bestest friends, my sister from another mister, Trina Taylor of Bad & DirtyBooks I was ready to finally take the plunge and write the story that's been restlessly clawing to get out of my head and onto paper for a VERY long time. I'm a southern girl to my core, a self proclaimed smut whore, and I guess now we can add aspiring author to my hat collection as well.

Tattooed across my ribs are the words I have always lived by 'Aut viam inveniam aut faciam tibi' Latin for: If I can not find a way, I will make my own.

Remember Love by Riley Rhea

They say you can never go home again. Brenna James is about to finish her final year of college when a visit home could change everything. Fate was pushing her towards her childhood best friend, Tucker, leaving Brenna no other option than to remember memories from a time once forgotten.

Can Tucker slip himself into her heart?

Will he be able to show her his feelings?

The biggest question is, can Tucker help Brenna remember love?

The book has sexual situations and language intended for ages 18 & up.

Remember Love by Riley Rhea was for me a surprising great book. I worried reading synopsis it was going to be something that didn't interest me but the opposite happened. I wanted more, i wanted to divulge more into the story of Brenna and Tucker. I really have nothing i can complain about in the story. The characters are well developed with the right amount of flash backs that you get the base relationship of both characters without it being to much history. Rhea has the best combination of past and present. Brenna and Tucker has a true love story, not one that last two months but decades of happy memories and heart breaking loss. The only thing i wanted was a more developed story of Wes, Stacy makes sense to me but Wes motivation seems extreme.

I truly loved this story, and its one i will have no problem re-reading over and over again.

I give Remember Love by Riley Rhea

First time i really listen to an audio book, took a little getting use to but i ended up loving it. Saved by One, Shared by Two was definite a different book. Dated in more recent times you learn what would happen if a catastrophe returned us to olden pre-electricity time. Julie such a strong character falls upon Arden on her way to find her brother and developed as a person, women and human.
I love how Julie is strong but still flawed, she's a realistic person who worked through her own emotions to be happy. Ben and Arden, childhood best friends grow as they deal with the loss of love ones and the love of a good women. The narrator was able to portray the feeling of all three main characters while trailing through the life Julie, Arden and Ben create for themselves.

I enjoy the trials and tribulations in saved by one, i didn't expect the base story to be so compelling and take a piece of my heart while still having some hot scenes. I feel like Julie, Arden and Ben are friends now and I'm so proud of what they accomplished when the world was against them.

Quintessentially Q by @PepperWinters

Quintessentially Q by Pepper Winters
(Monsters in the Dark #2)
Publication date: December 15th 2013
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Synopsis:
“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right.”

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster..

If you look back in my post you will find my obsession and love for Tears of Tess.
I was so anxious for Peppers Quintessentially Q, as soon as i received it i tore into it.

Breaking into Q's mindset is so complex to me as a reader i can't even imagine what it was like for Pepper as a writer. Q and Tess attempt to establish a relationship but not being your average couple there are constrains each deal with to find their happiness with each other and themselves.
Tess is battling what she knows and what she's been through. Debating in her mind whats right and whats wrong. Going through that and being with Q is already a recipe for disaster, resulting in some heart break decisions.

I really enjoyed Quintessentially Q, though there is a volleyball off emotions from the first word to the last Pepper takes you on a journey, this is not your everyday story of two people in love but two dark souls finding their way to each other. The character development, writing styles and concept are all outstanding. I will warn if you are not a fan of going to a dark place in your reading you should proceed with caution. Q can be read as a standalone but why would you shorten yourself the joy of Tears of Tess? I enjoy and will recommend you grab a full bottle of wine, get in the most comfortable spot and make sure your reading device is fully charged because thats where you will be till this story is over!

Yes, I am the wilting dying Rose that once belonged to Sebastian Thorne. He had given me back my life, but little did I know he was the very one who had taken it all away from me from the start. I hate him…I love him.

I never expected Lucas Drake to walk back in my life when I was at my lowest and darkest point. He promises that he will help me heal this pain, but in order to do that he says I need to get away from this town. Maybe he is right. There is nothing here for me anymore but painful memories…and Sebastian. Maybe the only way for this Rose to survive is to do the one impossible thing. I Skylar Rose… must become Thorneless.

Mia fell in love with the literary world at a very young age and began putting her active imagination to pen and paper by the age of six. Over the years, she has filled up numerous shelves with her notebooks and journals of her favorite stories. Twelve years ago, Mia began drafting The Thorne Series and through encouragement of a close friend, decided to finally take the leap of faith to bring her dream to life. In her spare time (“What spare time?” She laughs), she enjoys photography, traveling, and having a girls night out with her pals. She enjoys the simple things in life, such as sleeping more than 3 hours per night and 10 minute showers without being interrupted by children yelling “mommy” from the other side of the bathroom door.

Mia Michelle resides in Tennessee with her soul mate and husband of 18 years and their 2 beautiful young children. She is currently working on her Masters in Counseling and drafting her new series.

Men Can Do Romance by Michael Hollway Perronne

Title: Men Can do Romance
Author: Michael Holloway Perronne
Genres: Fiction/Gay, Romance/Gay
Publisher- Chances Press, LLC, http://www.chancespress.com/

Blurb:
Despite living in free-spirited New Orleans, Elliot finds that his career as an insurance actuary has him constantly weighing the risks of every move he makes in his life. When Troy, his teenage crush, returns home to the Big Easy after a stint with the Marines and unexpectedly announces he’s gay, Elliot must decide if he’s willing to take a chance and find out if men really can do romance.

Excerpt:
Elliot

Professional that quantifies risk.

That’s how I describe my job when someone asks, “Elliot, what the hell is an actuary anyway?”  Sure, I could go into all the nitty gritty details about health care laws I have to memorize and complex mathematical equations I have to solve.  But those four words really summarize it.  I tell a health insurance company how much they should charge you and if you’re even worth the risk.  All day long I decide if whatever is worth taking a chance.  I have to look at things within a black and white world.  There can be no gray.  So how could that not bleed over into my personal life?
Is that low season trip to Thailand during monsoon season worth the risk?
Is the depreciation of the car I like versus the slower depreciation of a car that I’m not so crazy about worth the possible loss in trade-in value?
Is moving to another apartment in a neighborhood that I may like more worth the risk of maybe ending up with shitty neighbors when I like the ones I have now?
Is the man sitting in front of me on a date worth the risk based on what he’s telling me?  For example, he recently broke up with his boyfriend.  Or worse, he still lives with the “ex” boyfriend.
On dates, when I get around to them that is, I find myself unable to stop running the guys against some mental check list to figure out if they…you guessed it…are worth the risk.
Does he seem hung up on an ex?
How long has he been out compared to me, and does he still have wild oats that need attention?
Does he live within ten miles to me?  Because let’s face it, I hate driving long distances on a regular basis.
Will his lack of always chewing with his mouth closed drive me so nuts I may want to scream at the top of my lungs one day in the middle of a meal at Antoine’s?
Is he cuter than me?  And if so, can I risk my somewhat jealous tendencies?
So many questions running through my mind.  All the time.  No wonder I can’t sleep.  No wonder I’m on Prozac for anxiety.  Each day is one long careful thought about is itthisthathim worth the risk.

It’s a Tuesday evening.  I’m being wild, for me, by being out on a work night.  It’s actually a nice June night in New Orleans.  The humidity isn’t too oppressive.  The stars twinkle above.  I have a nice glass of Merlot I’m sipping while sitting across from a reasonably cute guy.  I’ve actually managed to snag a date.  Okay, a friend set me up, but still.  We met up at a cute outdoor wine bar in the Bywater I’ve been meaning to check out.  Sounds good, no?
The guy’s name is Bailey, and he’s a paralegal.  Check the box off next to the line item that reads “Sustainable Career.”  He has wavy dark hair and blue eyes.  A lethal combination to make my heart skip a beat.  Check off the box next to the line item “Feel at least an inkling of sexual attraction.”
He actually asks some questions about me.  Woohoo!  Check off line item “Seems interested in getting to know me as a person.”
I tell him about growing up in the Garden District and my time spent backpacking across Europe and trying to find myself right after college.  And then…
“You know my ex went backpacking across Europe,” Bailey says, his gaze suddenly appearing to be focusing on some point far, far in the distance.  “He said it was the best time of his life.”
Uh, oh.  Please don’t make me check off a line item in the column for “Run as fast as possible.”
“Have you ever been to Europe?” I ask, trying to bring the conversation back to…you know…us!
“No.  But, Tim, my ex, said that he loved Sweden most of all.  He always had a thing for blondes.  Maybe that’s why…” Bailey says, his voice trailing off.
Please.  No.
I’m not even half-way through my glass of wine, and this guy is making a mad dash for my personal  “move on” line-up.
“Hmmm.  I’ve never been to Sweden.  But I’ve always had a thing for guys with dark hair,” I say not so subtly dropping what I would think would be a huge ass hint.
“We lived in New York for a while.  Before we broke up, and I moved back here,” Bailey says, swirling the Merlot in his glass around and around.
“I still haven’t been to New York,” I say.  “I was thinking maybe of taking a trip there next fall.  Any recommendations?”
Come on, Bailey.  You can do it!  You can move back into the “maybe” column.  For the love of God!  Come on!
“Everything is amazing there.  Everything,” he says still looking off into the distance.  “I remember when I was flying back here after we broke up.  I thought to myself how can you leave this city and this man that you love so much?”
Shit.  I know it’s happened now.  We’ve moved into the so not worth the risk because he’s hung up on his ex-boyfriend to the point that he doesn’t even realize he’s told you more about his ex than himself.
I lean back in the wicker chair I’m sitting in, sip my Merlot, and look up at the twinkling lights in the sky. I start to tune out Bailey as he starts in on how he met the ex.
Oh, well.  Maybe the next guy.  Maybe.
I love a romance story that doesn't discriminate. Troy and Elliott have more than Lou in common. Troys younger brother and Elliot's childhood friend. As both are reevaluating their lives they find a friend in each other. Haven't read a lot of m/m books but i do love that this wasn't just about the sex, Men Can Do Romance is def Michaels way to explaining all m/m books are hardcore erotic but can also be a classic love story.
I feel Troys pain, I've never experience the confusion or stress of coming out to family but just imagining it makes breaks my heart. As Troy deals with not only coming out to his friends and family but he also is finding his way in life after the military. That never ends.
Elliott has the best friends and family and he's a good friend, the amount of blind dates he agrees to makes him better than me. After all the schooling he goes through he's not happy with the way he's life has developed and is looking for a change. Together Troy and Elliott help each other and find new things about themselves.

Cover Reveal Alluring Seduction by@SkyeTurner_Auth

ALLURING SEDUCTION
Book 2 Bayou Stix
Release January 3, 2014

"I’m walking down the hall to my suite and I see Jessie’s suite door fly open and some disheveled blonde skank stomps out. She’s screaming into the room that he’s a “fucking asswipe” with her shoes in her hand, flipping him the bird with the other hand, and her hair is a mess. Classy.
She marches past me, jostling me with her shoulder, and never even spares me a glance. Stupid bitch. “Excuse you! Watch where you’re going!” Then, shaking my head, I mutter, “Bitch!”
My room is two doors down from his, so I have to walk past it. The door apparently didn’t latch from her “graceful exit” and is still open. My eyes stray to the inside of the room as I reach it. They widen as I take in the mess. Sheets and clothes are everywhere. Things are knocked over and, holy shit… is that a bra hanging from the light?
I can’t help but notice Jessie with his back to the door. He’s on the phone as he strips the bed and throws everything to the floor. He’s wearing nothing but a pair of low riding boxer briefs and I can clearly see his muscled, tattooed back. The colorful artwork on his arms ripples as he removes the sheets. His shoulder length blond hair is messy. Like someone, the skank I’m sure, has been running their hands through it.
I think I gasp. I hate that he gets my blood pumping and not just because he pisses me off! He hears me, and whips his head around. Shit!
His sky blue eyes meet mine and I can see he’s pulling on his lip ring with his teeth. His eyebrow raises and he smirks at my expression. I hurriedly school it as he strolls to the door. He stops right in front of me and leans against the doorjamb. “Really, Blue? Spying on me?” he says with disdain."
