Night Games by @ColletteWest

Title:  Night Games
Author: Collette West
Published:  February 28, 2014
Genre:
Sports Romance

Book Synopsis:
The moment Grey Kelleher locks eyes with All-Star shortstop Chase Whitfield, she's a goner. For years, she's watched him play on TV, and now she's gazing at his hard, lean body across a bar in her hometown.

Grey's crush on Chase goes all the way back to his rookie season. So when she approaches him for an autograph, she's startled by what a jerk he can be.

Chase is no mood to humor his fans, even one as alluring as Grey. He's in the last year of his contract and stuck having to prove himself on a minor league team. He's only there to rehab an injury, nothing more.

But when Grey tells him off, Chase realizes her fiery spirit may be just the distraction he needs to take his mind off not being in the majors. His heart is safe. No one's going to break his streak as baseball's most eligible bachelor. Not even someone as irresistible as Grey.

From the first page i was intrigued in this novel. Grey is one of a kind. Theres a quote in Night Games where Grey explains she was named after Hurricane Grey and thats the best way to explain Grey's personality. Grey is an driven and die hard baseball fan, dealing with the stress of life around her Grey has the opportunity to meet her favorite player Chase.
Night Games deals with divorce, stalkers, strip clubs, death, heartbreak and strength! You not only fall for Grey but you root for her, cry with her and hurt with her. I love the transition from one POV to another. Night Games is written from both Grey and Chase's point of view helping you understand what each of them are dealing with.
As a huge sports fan i can only dream of this opportunity lol, i would be like Grey sister E! All the characters in this novel are well developed and written. The story is well rounded with great basic for a relationship and enough history and story to make it feel 100% realistic.

Author Bio:
Collette West grew up as of a jock-nerd hybrid. Entering the world three weeks premature, her dad nearly missed her birth because he had seats behind the dugout for a sold-out, highly-anticipated match-up between two of baseball's biggest rivals. Not to be outdone, her book-loving mom taught her how to read by the time she was three. A love of the game coupled with an appreciation for the written word were instilled in Collette's impressionable brain from a young age. No wonder her characters believe in the philosophy: sports + romance = a little slice of heaven.

Splitting her time between the Pocono Mountains and Manhattan, Collette indulges her inner fangirl by going to as many games as she can from hockey to baseball and downloading every sports romance novel in existence onto her iPad. When she's not clicking away on her laptop, she enjoys walking her dog in Central Park, satisfying her caffeine craving at the Starbucks on Broadway and keeping an eye out for Mr. Right. But above all, she loves dishing with her readers. Email her at collette_west@yahoo.com.

Finding Us by @HarperBentley

: Finding Us :
Jag Jensen and Ellen Love had been best friends their whole lives until he turned thirteen and started noticing girls his own age, but that didn’t mean he stopped watching out for eleven-year-old Ellen. By his senior year in high school, baseball had taken the front seat in his life, with a scholarship to college and a pro career looming on the horizon, when sophomore Ellen caught his attention and they struck up their friendship again. Although Ellen wanted more, Jag didn’t want to drag her into what he knew would be a crazy life, but love has a way of deciding one’s future, and eventually they became a couple. Ellen followed him to California as he began his pro career, but his wild and hectic lifestyle screwed everything up.

Now Jag is lost, realizing he’s never been without his best friend in his life. Learning to live without Ellen doesn’t settle well with him, so while trying to remain at the top of his career, he also wants to get his girl back, which proves to be more difficult than he thought it’d be. Will Ellen give him another chance or does that sort of thing only happen in the sappy romance novels she always used to read? Jag hopes she’s willing to try again as he puts his heart on the line for the woman he knows will always be his forever and a day.

Jag, Jag, Jag! One of the best things about this book was its POV. Jag is the narrator, though sometimes hearing his thoughts makes me shake my head (he is a guy) i liked the idea of a male POV. Jag and Ellen have known each other their whole lives before they take on a dating relationship. Jag is trying to handle a new pro career and Ellen at the same time….no surprise he fails miserable. Not your cliche book of love and lost and i was definitely intrigued on what off the wall idea Jag would come up with next.
I didn't read book one so i only have Jag's side of the story so i recommend reading book one Discovering Us eventually. Be warned, this book leaves you on the worst kind of cliff hanger, you know the one your reading a high emotional scene and it says…you are the weakest link GoodBye!
I want to know what happens. Overall, well written though Jag reminds me how stupid some of the things guys think of are (unfortunately realistic). I recommend reading book one either before or after reading Finding Us.
Ill say give the books a read
