Synopsis

Two cups of a protective, dirty talkin’ alpha who loves his Cupcake.

One tablespoon of a sweet southern baker who loves her Sexy Sawyer, even when he’s being a hothead.

A slice of the past that shows up on their doorstep, turning their world upside down with a life-altering plea.

A dash of passion.

A pinch of heartache.

A sprinkle of hope.

Mix together in a large bowl, creating a difficult choice, a testing of one’s faith, and a man who will do anything to protect his family—even if it means accepting a decision that could result in losing the one he loves most.

Bake at 350° for a rich serving of life with a love that could withstand anything. Even the unthinkable.

A timeless recipe that is sure to fill your heart with a generous helping of sweet love.

***
This is a longer length novella that follows Sawyer and Grace’s journey after Sweet Temptation, book two in the Men of Honor series. It is told in dual POV, has an HEA, and no cliffhanger. Sweet Temptation should be read prior to this novella. It is recommended to read the other books in both the Men of Honor series and the Acts of Honor series as all the characters play recurring roles. However it’s not necessary.

Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

First and foremost, HIIII. Nothing can bring me back from the dusty bookshelves like a K.C. Lynn book.
Sweet Love is a novella following K.C. Lynns Sweet Temptation Men of Honor Book 2 (click HERE for my review for Sweet Temptation)
Sweet Love fast forwards the couple of Sweet Temptation "Sexy Sawyer" and "Cupcake Grace" and their twin children Parker and "Shortcake" Hope. I would highly recommend reading the Men of Honor series prior to Sweet Love as you get the full effect of each character.
Sweet Love is a refreshing insight into the world of Sexy Sawyer and his Cupcake. Throughout the book you are engulfed into the relationship between parents and children and get to visit some favorites along the way.
An emotional journey you take with a parent who has a choice they never thought they will make. I appreciated Sweet Love for the glimpse it allows me to have with a family i feel like i am apart of. You laugh, you cry, you get angry, sad, excited and frustrated but at the end of the day Sweet Love will fill you with just that, sweet love.

I give Sweet Love by K.C. Lynn 5 Glasses of the most amazing Moscoto with a Side of Hero Pie

I enjoyed the journey i got to experience with Sawyer and Grace. Their love and foundation is so strong they are able to find ways to hope each other up with outside things attempt to rip them a part. Theres a line Sawyer says that reads "The easiest thing ive ever done in my life is love you Grace" and you know he means that with ever fiber in his body. Sawyer's able to still be his ego driven self but his maturity as a husband and father is inspiring. Sweet Love is written in a realistic way of the dynamics of an amazing marriage deal with a tribulation. Grace is still the sweet thoughtful and caring person we've seen before but their is a confidence to her i feel the love of Sawyer and joy of motherhood gives. The strength Grace has gives a glimpse of what the support of her new family gives her. The novella ended and i wanted more. I wanted more of a look into the day to day of the Evens family because i feel like a part of their world. Keep the tissues near by and prepare of an emotional event that enforces the power of faith, strength of family and the confidence of Sweet Love.

***

This is book three in the Acts Of Honor series, the spin-off series to Men Of Honor. Kolan and Sophie’s story is told in dual POV, has an HEA with no cliffhanger, and can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading prior books in both series, as characters play recurring roles throughout.

Billionaire Undown- Travis by J.S. Scott

Billionaire Undone ~ Travis (The Billionaire's Obsession, #5)Billionaire Undone ~ Travis by J.S. Scott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

"the Chronicles of Narnia series was one of my favorite. I remember looking in every closet we had trying to find a secret door so I could take Kade and Mia away somewhere..."

Um I think I feel in love with Travis more than anything. Billionaire Undone is an example with no matter how brilliant a man could be women will always be smarter! ;-)

Ally and Travis have worked together in their own version of tension for over four years when the one thing keeping things at a distance no longer exist. Billionaire Undone is the perfect name as Travis slowly unravels as the book goes on. Without the ability to be indifferent its fun to watch hes hard exterior break down.

The growth of emotions and the twist and turns make this book worth its price and I would recommend it. Im not sure if its a quick read or I was just excited to find out whats next but def take a peak!

Brandon and Spencer’s story is already written. You know Spencer’s side of it. Now find out what Brandon was really thinking from the moment Spencer walked into Club 24.

Chapter #1
Do you ever think to yourself that something’s gotta give?
I’m a successful business man, but my love life is the worst it has ever been. I’m dating this chick who I have nothing in common with, and every time I try to end things, she sneaks her way back in, and we have lousy make-up sex.
I’m pretty sure she’s bipolar and hasn’t been diagnosed, yet. One minute we’re watching some drama reality show—not my choice—and the next, she’s accusing me of cheating on her. It’s like a broken record, and I’m tired of hearing it.
“Baby, where are we having dinner tonight?” Christy, my soon-to-be ex-again, asked.
“Can’t. Have to work—late.”
I’ve resorted to short, incomplete sentences with her. No matter what I’ve said, she’s turned it around and tried to get me to do whatever she wanted. I could probably speak Japanese and she would pretend I said that I wanted to marry her instead of break up with her. I needed a plan to get her out of my life forever—and fast!
“You always have to work late now. I thought you wanted to spend more time with me?” Christy pouted, sticking out her bottom lip.
Spend more time with her? What the fuck? Hell no! I was lucky I’d never given her a key or she would be over at my place every night. She was only at my place now because I was horny as fuck and gave in to her temptation—again. I would always give into her because work was stressful, and I needed the release.
“Jason and I are busy. We’re trying to open the new gym, you know that.”
That was just an excuse. Yes, Jason and I were opening a new gym, but most of our business dealings were during normal business hours, and if I saw an email after hours, then I answered it on my phone or from home. I could usually get out of work by six at night, but I was just trying to get away from Christy and I didn’t know how else to do it. I didn’t want to move. I loved my condo, but moving might be the only option.
I didn’t like her anymore. She wasn’t really my type. I’ve always had a thing for brunettes, and Christy was blonde and so fucking high maintenance, I wanted to shoot myself. I loved the outdoors, sports, poker—Christy hated them all.
“Fine, I’ll come over tonight when you get home.”
“Christy, please. I need a night alone.”
“What the fuck, Brandon? Why are you being an asshole?”
“I’m not being an asshole. I just need some space.”
“Are you breaking up with me? Are you cheating on me?”
The first time Christy asked if I was breaking up with her, I made the mistake of saying “yes”. I’m not going to make that mistake again. Her nails hurt!
“I’m not cheating on you. I just need a night alone. Go hang out with your friends. You know Mondays are busy for me.”
“Fine, but I want you all to myself this weekend since you’re going to Vegas next weekend,” she said, coming up to give me a kiss.
Every ounce of me tried not to shudder under her touch. What was I doing? I couldn’t stand to be touched by her, but at night I gave in to her come-ons?
I was certain God was looking out for me when I asked Christy if she wanted to go to Vegas with us for my buddy’s birthday party a few weeks back. Christy only wanted to come if we were going clubbing. I told her we were playing poker; she turned her nose up and pouted for hours, and then accused me of cheating on her—in the future. That should have been my sign to get the fuck out, but I don’t listen sometimes. Christy has been nothing but trouble for me.
I didn’t respond to her about coming over for the weekend. I wasn’t going to make any promises. I needed to talk to Becca, one of my best friends, and ask her how I was going to get rid of Christy—for good.
*~*~*
“What’s wrong with you?” Jason, my best friend, asked as he leaned into my office.
“Christy…” I groaned.
“I thought you were dumping her?”
“I tried—again.”
Jason sat in the chair in front of my desk. We had been friends since college. He met his wife, Becca, at Texas A&M where we all attended, and the three of us had been friends ever since. We were business partners now; I was the Best Man at their wedding and lived with them when we first moved to San Francisco.
They’ve been through all my ups and downs, especially in college when some asshole started a fight with me and Jason and broke my back because our football coach named me starting quarterback and not him. Jason and Becca were more than friends—they were like my brother and sister.
“What happened this time?” Jason asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
“When I told her that I was done, she cried and wouldn’t leave my place.”
“Dump her at her place.”
“I tried,” I said, burying my head in my hands. “She just follows me home and then begs and begs—promising all these sexual acts that she ends up not doing.”
Jason busted out laughing. “Oh man, that’s good!”
“Fuck you!” I said, throwing my pen at him.
“What’s so funny in here?” Becca asked, walking into my office.
“Brandon can’t get rid of Christy,” Jason told his wife.
I gave Becca a brief rundown of my obsessed girlfriend while she and Jason laughed at me. It kinda sucks being single sometimes. I’ve always wished I had what they had, but I haven’t been so lucky. I was close once, but then found out the girl cheated on me one drunken night, and since then I’ve guarded my heart.
I’ve only been dating Christy a few months. I don’t love her. Never have. I’m not even sure what attracted me to her. She’s not my type. I want a girl that is down to earth, loves sports, doesn’t care if I go mountain biking with Jason every weekend and wants me for me and not for my money or a free gym membership.
You would think that I have women fawning all over me. I’m so busy with work, that I haven’t had time to go out and meet anyone new. It was easy for me to call Christy, get off like I needed, but it has come to the point where she made my skin crawl.
I met her at a bar one night. Maybe it was the way she rubbed her ass on my dick that made me want to fuck her that night—yep, that was it—but since then, I haven’t gotten rid of her.
“Maybe it’s time to get a restraining order?” Becca asked.
“Or move back to Austin,” Jason said.
“I’m not moving back to Texas. I like it here. Plus, the Giants are way better than the Astros.”
“But they have our Cowboys,” Jason said while Becca was looking at her phone.
“You want me to run our Austin gym again?” I asked.
We currently have four gyms. One in Austin, one in Houston, one in Denver and the one here in San Francisco. In January, we hope to open a new one in Seattle. The current property is in foreclosure, and our real estate guy, Paul, was working his magic to get us a good deal. Everything is included in the sale since it’s currently a gym, so we won’t have to spend a lot of time setting everything up. We will just need to add our signature touches like a spa, beach volleyball and basketball courts, with our operating hours extending to be twenty-four hours a day.
“You’re not going back to Texas,” Becca said. “This is what you do. You tell your door guy to not let her in…”
“Done that,” I said, cutting her off. “But somehow she gets in.”
“You tell them that if they see her on the property, then to call the cops. You tell Christy that, too. Tell her if she shows up again, the cops will be called and you’ll be getting a restraining order.”
“That’s so harsh,” I said.
“It’s either that or her sleeping in front of your door every night.”
“Why do I always have to find the crazies?”
“Your luck will change, B. You just need to get Christy out of the picture and let that special someone into your life,” Becca said, patting my shoulder to comfort me.
*~*~*
Christy: What time are you getting off?
Jesus, fucking Christ! Didn’t we have this conversation this morning? I’m not answering her.
And I didn’t.
She texted again.
Christy: I miss you already. I can’t go a night without you.
I groaned, throwing my phone on my desk and continued working.
Christy: Why aren’t you answering me? You better not be cheating on me. I’ll hunt that bitch down!
I decided to text her back. My luck, she would show up at the gym and cause a big scene. Couldn’t have our clients seeing that shit.
Me: I’m not cheating on you. I’m at work. BUSY!
Christy: I’ll be at your place tonight at 10.
Why do I seriously find the clingiest women in the world? Fucking hell!
Me: Might not be home.
Christy: I’ll come by the gym.
No!
Me: Might not be at the gym, either.
Christy: So you ARE cheating on me?
Me: Christy, I have friends…not just you. And no, for the last time, I’m not cheating on you. I have a meeting.
*~*~*
I didn’t hear back from Christy. I already knew that she would be at my place when I got home. I needed to be a fucking man and just break up with her for good. I needed to listen to my head and my heart—not my dick.
At five-thirty, Jason stuck his head in my office. “Going home.”
“I’m doing it. Breaking up with Christy for good tonight.”
“Right…” Jason said with a laugh.
“How is it out there? I think I need to burn off some pent-up energy so I don’t agree to let her suck my dick.”
Being a fairly new gym in the area, Jason and I created two-week trial passes. We expected a lot of the after work crowd to show—and they had been for the last few weeks. Each Monday seemed to bring out more people trying to start their week off right.
“Fairly busy, but not full.”
We stepped out of my office that overlooked the floor. I scanned the area, seeing people taking advantage of our smoothie bar, standing in line for racquetball and enjoying our equipment and weights.
“Nice. I’m going to work out.”
Usually we don’t work out when it’s busy, but I needed to really get my head screwed on straight. A good run always cleared my head.
Running, not sex Brandon!
As I continued to look over the floor, my eyes drifted to the treadmills to see if any were open. That was when I saw her.
“Have you seen her before?” I asked Jason.
“Who?”
“Her.” I pointed to the brunette I’d never seen before, running on the treadmill.
“No, never seen her before. Why?”
“Because—I’m going to marry her,” I said, walking away and not waiting for him to respond.

Battling The Best Man by @ElleyWrites

Title: Battling the Best Man (Harmony Falls #2)
Author: Elley Arden
Published: Jan. 17, 2014
Published by:
Crimson Romance
Genre:
Contemporary Romance

Book Synopsis:
On the cusp of a brilliant Chicago medical career, Dr. Kory Flemming rarely gets a vacation from her demanding brain injury fellowship, but she can’t say no to maid of honor duties in her best friend’s wedding. Hometown or not, being in Harmony Falls, Pennsylvania, isn’t easy, especially when the only man smart enough to trump Kory’s high school academic achievements turns out to be a sexy, accomplished adult up to his old, flirtatious tricks.

Will Mitchell has been destined for success since the day he was born. After spending his formative years racking up academic honors, it was only natural for him to be named the chief operating officer of his family’s thriving company. He has it all—more or less—so when the target of his high school infatuation turns up hot and haughty at his brother’s wedding, Will decides he wants her, too.

An innocent dance at the wedding reception leads Kory and Will to an illicit tryst in the coat checkroom, and the game they’ve been playing since high school changes into something more serious. The new attraction takes Will and Kory by surprise, until a failed merger and family tragedy threaten both their professional goals.

Now, Will’s struggling to preserve his reputation as “the successful one” and Kory’s stuck in Harmony Falls watching her illustrious medical career slip away. Worse yet, maybe the only way to get things back on track is to work together. Can they put aside their rocky past and ignore their titillating present in order to secure the future for the people they adore?

Battling the Best Man is a refreshing story of Will and Kory. Childhood rivals that turn to each other, though part of their need for each other is selfish they find happiness along the way.
I didn't read book one of the series Crashing the Congressman's Wedding and was able to follow along so i will say Battling the Best Man could be a standalone.
Will and Kory were those two overachieving friends who though it was fun to do homework on the weekends. Getting together for Korys best friend and Wills brothers wedding throws them back into each others lives. Circumstances happen that keep Kory from returning back to her life (work and more work) and into an agreement with Will.
Kory's character is endearing, though there are many times i wanted to bang my head against a wall she could be frustrating. Seeing someone who seems to have there head on educationally but not worldly is always a train wreck waiting to happen. She lived in a bubble motivated by her need to be the best. I wanted to shake her and scream at her but most of all i wanted to watch her succeed and grow.
Some of my favorite dialogue was wills constant bickering with his mom, i speak sarcasm fluently so their battle of whits tickled me pink.

Overall great short read, cute, funny and would recommend
I also want to read book one now

She’ll go from the streets to the penthouse.
The price? Submission.
From the moment she laid eyes upon him, Marley knew in her heart that James was not just another client, and the difference wasn’t even the large sum of money he offered in return for a single night of submission. No, what set him apart was the fact that when she called James “daddy”, it was her own heart which beat faster and her own body which ached with need.

After that night, Marley does her best to put all thought of him behind her, using the huge payday he provided to get on her feet again and start over… until James knocks on her door and walks right back
into her life. He makes her a simple offer: if she will live with him and submit to him whenever he wishes, he will provide for her every desire.

Even before she accepts his offer, though, Marley knows that what she truly wants is not money or clothing or even a fancy new car. What she longs for is a daddy who will give his little girl what she really needs… a daddy who will spank her bare bottom when she is naughty, tie her up and take her any way he pleases, and then cuddle her until she falls asleep in his arms. Can she dare to hope that James will be that daddy?

When i first started readying Daddy Morebucks by Normandie Alleman i didn't know exactly what to expect, a few words in i worried it would be a fifty shades shadow, but oh was i wrong. The story is different from anything ive read thus far and makes a path all on its own.
Marley can't catch a break, from a shitty youth to heartbreak along the way she its an all time low after her brothers world gets rocked.
As we all know, hitting a long and having no support to pick you up can be a fast way to nothing good. With no support or good experience at home Marley begins hustling to survive which one lucky day brings her to Daddy James.
Maybe its the South Florida thing but every time Marly calls James Daddy i saw her saying Papi which didn't make it weird for me. I love that this will be a series, as book one you can see plots forming for each person. I dont love that this finishes on a sort of cliff hanger, but it makes you want more on James and Marley story.
You see Marley grow in the support of James, something most people do with the encouragement of parents, sibling or friends Marley does through James financial and emotional support.
Now dont get me wrong, the book is hot hot hotttttt, some scenes i had to take a break or i would spontaneously combust.
Overall great read, the characters are developed well, the relationships are realistic as are the situations. A bit of a slow start but once the books starts rolling ohhh does it roll so wonderfully...I cant wait to continue the Daddys Girls Club series!

Enjoy the following Excerpt from Daddy Morebucks and check out the rest of the tour by clicking on the top picture!

They ate their meal in silence, the only noises being the clinks of silverware on plates and glasses tinkling as they drank and enjoyed the tasty meal.
“Do you care for any wine?” he asked.
Remembering what Milton had said about him not liking his girls to drink alcohol, she shook her head no.
“No, Sir,” he corrected her.
She finished her bite and dutifully answered, “No, Sir. Thank you for offering, Sir.” She could play that game with her eyes closed.
“Well, I’m going to have a glass of merlot, though I do like to keep my head about me during a scene. You should too.”
“I’m fine, though I did have some drinks earlier.”
“You did?”
“Yeah, but don’t worry. Milton told me you don’t like your girls drunk, and this food sopped up all the alcohol in my system, so no worries, Sir.”
He sat quietly sipping his wine and considering her.
“Would you like dessert?”
“Sure! I mean, yes, Sir.”
He looked surprised. “Oh, well, then I’ll call down for something. Maybe we can have it later. What would you like? Cake? Crème brûlée? I could see what the specials are…”
“Crème brûlée. I’ve always wanted to try that.”
He used a phone in the corner to order two crème brûlées before returning to his seat.
Marley finished her potatoes and leaned back in her chair, her tummy contented. “Thank you, Sir. That was delicious.”
Unable to read him, Marley decided it was time to get this show on the road. The sooner he was finished with her, the sooner she could get some sleep. Lack of sleep was catching up with her. The different noises and random commotion that went on throughout the night at the shelter kept her awake. If she was lucky she could crash here and find a new place tomorrow.
Locking her eyes with his, she slipped out of her chair onto the floor and crawled on her hands and knees around to his side of the table. Setting her hands on his knee, she attempted to push back his chair. But it didn’t go as smoothly as she had planned. The chair didn’t budge.

Nel Parker an up and coming real estate agent has taken a blow to her career by the worst way, a man!! As she starts out on her own and attempts to make her way back to the top faith sends her the key in the form of two dogs. Grey, centerfield baseball player has his many demons! The top demon on his long list is a house he inherited from his father, attempting to make a very bad wrong right he's spending the off season fixing up the place, one sledgehammer to tile at a time. As Nel and Grey find a way to achieve their goal they also find each other.

Very cute book, if your a book lover it can be a quick read in a few hours. I was engrossed in the story to the point where i stayed up during my beauty sleep time just to find out what happens next. I didn't read book one so this is def a standalone, though i did wonder about the other brothers. I love the dynamic between Nel and her brothers and between Grey and Nel.

The novel is upbeat even in moments that are the pits, realistic in concept and reactions and not your typical story.

Psychotherapist Maggie Collins has always been a little off the proverbial wall, but now she’s also knee deep in a delayed quarter-life crisis. With her meager paychecks devoured by student loan debt, a car payment and rent for office space, living at home with a flighty, folk-singing mother seemed like a good idea…at first. Now Maggie’s not so sure. She wants space to sort things out and launch a life of her own, but she needs a cushion of cash to get there. When an unexpected phone call brings an offer Maggie can’t refuse, she’s one deal with the devil away from moving out of her mother’s house. The devil of contract negotiations, baseball agent Jordon Kemmons, has a problem the usual experts can't fix...his star pitcher is too depressed to throw strikes. Even worse, Jordon's post-divorce grudge against women is turning him into a raging mess. If desperate times call for desperate measures, then cynical Jordon has made the most desperate move of all. He's hoping sexy psychotherapist Maggie Collins is the answer to all his rusty prayers. Soon Maggie and Jordon are fighting an attraction that threatens everything they've ever believed. If it's not just physical attraction...if it's something more, maybe two wrongs can make a right.
